Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

1. Overview

The Siers Household ("the Service") is a private, family-only application. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected. The Service is not a commercial product and is not available for third-party signup.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the household dashboard:

  • Account information— name, email, and authentication identifiers provided by our identity provider (Clerk) when you sign in, including data shared by sign-in providers such as Google.
  • Household data— information you or another household member enters about properties, vehicles, family members, finances, schedules, and related items.
  • Operational data— basic logs (request metadata, error traces) needed to keep the Service running.

3. How We Use Information

Information is used solely to:

  • Authenticate you and authorize access;
  • Display your household's data to you and other authorized members;
  • Maintain, debug, and secure the Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing.

4. Google User Data

If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (name, email address, profile picture URL, and a Google account identifier) through our authentication provider. This information is used only to create and identify your account within the Service. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service data.

Google user data is not shared with any third party and is not used for any purpose other than authenticating you to this Service. You can revoke the Service's access at any time from your Google account at Google Account Permissions.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

The Service relies on a small number of vendors to operate:

  • Clerk— identity and authentication management.
  • Vercel— application hosting.
  • Google— optional sign-in provider.

These vendors process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.

6. Data Retention

Information is retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is removed, related personal information will be deleted on a reasonable schedule, except where retention is required for legitimate operational, legal, or security reasons.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect data, including TLS for data in transit and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting the operator. You can also revoke any third-party sign-in (such as Google) at any time.

9. Children

The Service is intended for household use. Information about minors that appears in the Service is entered by a parent or guardian acting as the household administrator.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

11. Contact

For questions or requests related to this Privacy Policy, contact the operator directly through the household's usual channels.
